Total cost of stock turbo overhaul

Anyone got a figure? I suspect the transition from primary to secondary turbo (and therefore the secondary turbo) needs something done. Im not really sure, but am guessing its a reason for hesitation/flat spot in the 4500-5500 rev renge.

doubt its that, probably a check valve, needle valve (if you have manual adjustment) or hose problem. Lots cheaper than a rebuild! FWIW, rebuild kits are 150 ea for parts, but you will probably have to have cracks in turbo manifold housings welded up as well and then weld beads machined off.

search for boost problems or sequential problems. a flat spot after transition is most likely just a simple sticking solenoid, or a bad check valve, or a pinched hose. Start simple and in-expensive first with ur diagnosis
