I'd like to have another thread... who's gone the fastest AND has pictures or even better video to prove it...

This is a pic I took while in my 87 TII (modded with more boost, full exhaust, intake, computer, etc). In case the pic is too unclear, the speedo goes from 0-160 with every 20 mph labelled.

The car had more power, but at that speed it was becoming a little unstable for my liking

Brian

143 when I first got the car, then remembered that I had no idea what kind of condition the tires were in and decided not to go to 5th. Haven't touched that again.

Damnnn, 170 on 826, I am impressed, or considering your sanity. What section of it were you on. That road seems too bumpy for those speeds, although I don't drive on it very often, I usualy come south from 75 and get off on 3?.

I never hit more than 180km/h after i bought the car... but slowly as i did most of the reliability mods, and get accustom to its handling...Top Speed --> 250km/h..

Damn i love this car!! i have the RE amemiya gauge and i think it is capable to hit 300km/h with no problem... but that would be too dumb to do it on the highway... am not going to sacrifice me life...

It wasn't me
I love 826 in the middle of the night

I've hit 155-160 or so on I75 (you tend to want to look at the road more than the speedo)
In Jersey I hit 150 a couple of times.

One of these days I'll just keep my foot down and see what happens

Heh, for a stable 180+ you really need a good front spoiler, rear spoiler, and good underbody air flow management.

Indicated 155mph on I-985 southbound (slight downhill grade) before I realized what a stupid thing it was. No real mods, just a downpipe.

I have hit an indicated 155 or so in my PEP with no front lip or rear wing. Car still felt pretty stable to me. I suppose if you are regularly tracking on the car on tracks where you are hitting very high speeds like that, having the "R" lip spoiler and wing would probably be a good idea.
