tire size ?
tire size ?
Qucik question will 245/50/r16 tires fit on an FD. The car has been lowered, the front wheel gap is alot less than the rear tire gap. just wondering if the 245/50/r16 will rub in the front. it has 245/45 on it now. The 245/50 are just an 1" more in diameter.
Just want to know what ya'll think.

My opinion is that it will rub. If you had stock ride height you probably wouldn't have a problem, but with it lowered...hitting a bump at full lock will almost certainly cause it to rub.
Now you could run that size in the back without any problems, but not the front.
Why would you want to go to that size, anyway? The lower profile of the 45's look much better (IMO) and also have stiffer sidewalls.
I also run 245/45-16 btw...

The stock wheels and tires give you 24.858" dia. If you go to the 245/45 you get 24.681" dia., which is pretty damned close and a very nice looking combo. Going all the way to 245/50 gives you a monster 25.645" dia. and a tire that is a full 4.822 tall from the wheel to the edge compared to a 4.429" stock tire. I guarantee you that the extra height of the sidewall will look somewhat....odd. I guess I wouldn't want a higher profile tire, but that is just me.
