Tips for repairing cluster hood?
Hey all,
Searched the forum and didn't find much.
Im tackling my broken 93 cluster hood this week and am wondering if anyone has any tips?
Its cracked in several areas and two of the clips have broken off cleanly and were retained.
I understand buying a new one or finding a good used one is ideal but im pretty handy and dont mind trying to save this one.
My main question is about fiberglass Vs Plastic welding.
Would some fiberglass on the inside of the hood for integrity be enough? Than i can fill the cracks, Sand, and paint? Or should i look into plastic welding?
Has anyone had something plastic welded? Hows that work out?
Cheers!

Will do. Thx. I used a 2 part plastic epoxy to stick it back together than laid some fiberglass down on the backside for structural support. Finished with body filler, and sprayed with SEM black trim paint. Can't tell it was ever broken, and it's solid as a rock now.
