Tips on removing the brake pedal?
So I'm just about done with my auto to 5 speed swap and I've been putting off changing the brake pedal on purpose because it seems to be an absolute bitch to get it out.
The easy part was removing all the nuts. The impossible looking part is getting those studs that bolt into the support bracket on the steering column to the clear far enough for me to finesse the assembly out. I can get one stud out of the way, but the other one, forget about it.
This is on a RHD car if that matters any. Just wondering if you guys have any special tips on how to get it out without removing the whole dash.

Start by taking pedal nuts off
Next unplug the switch
Pull the pin to the brake booster rod
Unplug the air bag plug etc... so you can drop the steering column
Drop the steering column
Pedal should come right out.

It was actually 7 plus a little plastic nut, but thanks for trying.
Thanks man but I finally got it figured out. Fritz was absolutely right, the steering column dropped after removing 2 bolts and it was an absolute piece of cake after that.
