Time to replace the radiator hoses, what do you think about these?

I see on ebay that there's some aftermarket silicon hoses, but unsure of quality.
Has anybody bought any of these? What are your opinions?

these are $56

these are $79

Rx7.com sells OEM for $39 + shipping

I know Samco is good but they are just over $100

What hoses did you go with? What are some good deals?

The OE hoses are quite good, and the fit properly. I went with a full hose "kit" from Ray at Malloy. 888-533-3400. His prices, knowledge, and service are better than almost anywhere else.

OEM are awesome. I just got a new set and had to trim one to fit my custom radiator setup. Those suckers are tough!

Get some new OEM clamps also. OEM Constant torque clamps are much better than screw type hose clamps.

Where can you get braided sleeves from to fit over the hoses? I saw a car with them braided and it looked sweeeeeeeet! Not just the rad big ones but the small ones aswell...

I have the Blue OBX ones. OBX makes good stuff believe it or not. They make a few things for the Rx-7 to. Very good quality and fits just like stock. i think i got them when they were 49 but they always vary in price depending on who's selling them. And another plus is their made out of silicone. There top notch and a good buy.

I'd give those a try. OEM is fine but those look great and are probably more durable.

Personally I have metal hoses... see my site if interested.

The stock hoses can last for an extremely long period of time without failure. Just stick with the OE clamp/hose system.

I have obx in black, and have had no issues. I know two other fd owners who are also using them with no problems.

I just recieved those OBX hoses and haven't installed them yet. I suggest going with another brand because.....

the insides of these things have silicone nibblets through out. These bumps and imperfections are not weak enough to break off, but they will disrupt the flow. Good or bad, who knows? But, why experiment when you have other, smooth, options?

I haven't seen the insides of another set of OBX FD hoses so mine might be out of the norm.
