TII rotors in a 3rd gen?

TII rotors in a 3rd gen?
Does anyone on here have or know of anyone running TII Rotors in a 3rd gen? I have heard that it increases midrange power and torque due to the heavier weight of the 2nd gen rotor but they have lower compression. I also heard that the TII rotors are alot tougher than the 3rd gen ones. Any input? You have to change the counterweight and needle bearing to do this but they can work. I am having my motor rebuilt right now and I would like to see what anyone thinks about this. Scott

The combustion surfaces of the FD rotors have been machined smooth to provide a more consistent combustion. They are also lighter.
Who cares if they are physically stronger? The seals will give out long before the rotor does. Although, Max Cooper did manage to dent one of his rotors.....

I heard about someone in Florida running 8's in his 3rd gen with 89-91 TII rotors.
Also, this is just an idea that I was thinking about doing to help with 1/4 mile times. Has anyone else heard of anyone doing it outside of just saying not to. Any bad results or horror stories or is it all just opinions about why not to do it? I just want to know if anyone has ever done it and been successful or done it and regretted it? Thanks for the input. Scott

this was discussed 2 weeks ago, you should try using the search function. you will get more info in less time that way, rather than waiting for everyone who contributed to the first thread to reply to this one also....
heres the thread:

BTW, there is nothing wrong with using 88TII rotors in a FD motor, this is very common practice in many high hp street and race cars. read the thread for info.
