Ticking sound after drive

After a drive, I turned of my engine, openned the hood, and I would hear some ticking noises and it usually lasts until engine is cooled down. Sounds like it's from the turbo side side of the engine. The car drives fine, but I can't figure out what it is. Is it just because of the heat and metal expansion that's somehow causing these noises? Car's got: 99 spec turbos, non-sequential. Full 3" exhaust with high flow cat, intake, etc.... What is this ticking sound??

Actually I figure it's contraction...mostly of the heat shielding. But yes it's common.
