Question Ticking noise at lidle, and rattling sound?

I've been hearing this for sometime now. Anyhow, at idle I get this rapid ticking noise from under the hood, around the extention manifold. What in the world could it be? Also,(this is unrelated) When the RPM's drop, like when I'm coming to a stoplight, and when in neutral after reving the motor, I get a rattling sound. I've checked the downpipe, and everything else around and all is nice and tight. What is it? These are just two nagging problems I've had. Please note that I have had no loss in performance.

I thnk the ticking noise is farily normal with DP and high flow cat and nothing to worry about. The rattling is probably a heat shield or something that is loose under the car...I seem to remember a TSB on that issue.

My car used to rattle like hell. It turned out to be two things: the haet shields around the turbos and the stock exhaust pipe just touching a support bracket between the cat and muffler. Most likely it's the heat sheilds.

This is a common problem with 93 models. There is a Check valve that is making that noise. Its going through the fire wall and needs to be insulated with a rubber grommet. Its associated with the booster. There is a Thread on this subject do a search for it.
