is it??? how??? mine doesn't seem to open and I get the whub whub whub whub compressor surge noise.

Mine does not look adjustable either, and I do occasionally get a little wub wub. Someone mentioned that they sell them with different springs for high or low boost. I bet you have the stiff spring, but perhaps you can swap in a soft spring from TiAL if they sell them separately.

thanks Daniel. not much help there, but Don Marvel told me that it is adjustable. apparently near the vac tube there is a nut that once removed allows you to get to an adjustment screw.
