Throw-out Bearing with SPEC clutch

Has anybody succesfully used the throw-out bearing that SPEC includes with their clutch assemblies??? I was doing my clutch install yesterday (and today) and could not get the throw-out bearing to sit right. I compared it to the old throw-out bearing and the new one was significantly larger and was literally grinding on the edge of the puller.... so that was a definate no-go without grinding the edge down. I reused the old one since it only had around 25k miles on it. I just wanted to see what anybody else experienced to make sure I wasn't the only one. I'm thinking of calling Spec and seeing if I can atleast get my $65 back for the thing.

I had a little bit of a problem with mine not wanting to sit right. But once it went in the car it worked great and sat perfect.

I had the exact same problem, although I was not performing the install. As you noticed, there is a significant difference in size.

I sent the throw out bearing back to Jason, hoping he would contact Spec to inform them they have a design flaw.

I have called Spec 5 times in the last month and was never able to talk with someone about the problem, but left messages letting them know. As of a couple of weeks ago they have fixed the problem with the bearings. If someone is having issues and got the clutch from me, please let me know and I can get you a new bearing.

I bought mine from you but I really can't wait on a new one. I'm just reusing the old one (along with the pilot bearing and seal) because its really not that old. I'd be willing to send it back to you any way though.
