Throw-out bearing engagement
I'm in the process of bleeding the clutch after installing a new one. While bleeding the clutch the pedal gets stiff and will not travel down any more. Looking through the inspection hole the throw out bearing is not fully engaging into the pressure plate. Does the ring collar need to be in the pressure plate opening for the throw out bearing to engage or can it be on the T.O. bearing and it will slide in once the T.O. bearing is engaged?

It needs to be in the pressure plate, then the TO bearing can lock in place.

Clutch Install:
3/4s of the way down under reassembly #3.
The wedge collar or ring should be in the clutch to begin with.
With slave cylinder removed reach in hole where slave cylinder mounts with a strong hook. Pull end of clutch fork toward rear of car until you hear throwout bearing "click" in the wedge collar. Install slave cylinder and push clutch pedal.
