Throttle body question

Hey guys. I have searched and found enough info on recalibrating the throttle body. I received a polished one and need to switch over the sensors. My question is if I delete the coolant going through. Is it ok to leave the wax rod off entirely? Thanks Garret

I remove the hot wax rod , the fast idle cam and the attached shaft when Jeremy polishes them .Make a thin plate to cover the water hole so it will be looking good and remove the water nipple at the bottom right . I also use counter sink allen screws to put the throttle plates back in for better flow .
