Any ideas on how to put the retainer clip back in ? Tryin pushing the bearing in but it seems to not go in, should i keep trying going in or i need to take the transmission out ? Thanks ! Any ideas are welcome !
You do it the same way as removing the trans and then reinstalling it.
Remove the clutch slave cylinder from the transmission so the clutch control arm is free to move forward and backwards.
Then from below and through the square trans cover, you use tools to move it forward to engage.
Something does not look correct there, like it is broken???
Fork is new and bearing too, the circle clip came out from the clutch assembly, usually that clip is the clutch assembly and throat bearing should clip to that retainer there, I'm trying to pull into the clutch assembly but i can't and im afraid to forced in and bend the little clips around
It's all gotta come back down. You cant get that clip engaged into the fingers from the front. It has to be done before the pressure plate is bolted to the flywheel.
*throw out bearing
Looking closer at the picture, you installed that wrong to begin with. The clip with all the teeth goes through the fingers on the pressure plate and the ring goes around the fingers keeping the 2 pieces from being able to be pulled out from the pressure plate. Theres a very good video of it in the sticky
I've had this happen before, and it's kinda tricky to fix. Take two long flat head screw drivers and use them to pry the cage off the throw out bearing. You can then pretty easily get the cage back into the pressure plate. Then push the throw out bearing forward to engage the cage like normal (with the clutch slave removed). Like surgery. But with screw drivers.
If this doesn't work you'll have to drop the trans back down and push the cage back into the pressure plate.
Yep, it's doable but will be tricky surgery. It's worth spending some time on it but if you spend a half hour and get nowhere it's time to just drop the transmission.
Also possible that clip that's supposed to be on the pressure plate got damaged, it looks OK from the picture but I can't see the whole thing.
