Thoughts on keeping Fuel pulsation dampener from leaking

Since these things are notorious for leaking, couldn't you just RTV silicone or JB weld all around it to seal it? Sure beats engine fires

RTV can not hold back 40 psi of fuel pressure. JBW would be just a useless. Either replace the FPD or eliminate it
