I'm getting a microtech before I even drive my car. I'm just being sure it cranks and runs before i trailer it to tampa to have it tuned.

I wish I would have gotten a car with a blown motor and made everything how I wanted, as I only got a year out of this motor (it still ran fine, but was tired).
I went with RA's master rebuild kit.

I've also ordered the front and rear stationary bearings, dowel pins, some gaskets, two new housings and 1 new rotor from mazda. (my old ones will be for sale w pictures by this weekend) The builder wanted stock mazda springs, so if anyone wants the rotary avation ones, PM me.

People that do their own work > the rest.

Anyway I would re-think the non-seq. thing. I just did it to help me problem solve something else, but now that I've figured the other problem out, I'm going right back to Full seq. I really miss the primary spooling on the highway for some added low end power.

I decided to go non-seq for a few reasons. I was trying to be careful with the rats nest, and a few lines broke, so i just pulled it out, with a street port and full open exhaust lag shouldnt be too crazy, and It'll get me ready for the lag that will come along with a single.

I am in the process of doing the exact same thing. See I had started the non-sequential mod first and had a back-up in the return fuel line and blew an apex seal. Now i'm doin' a rebuild. So we are on the same page. I haven't takin' the engine out yet but hopefully have everything where it needs to be to "yank it out" by Wednsday. Luckily I have a factory service manual...

I just got done doin' everything in the service manual for the engine pull. What did you do to take out the tranny with the engine. Anything special? Could you post or pm me what you did in order?

Thanks,

Andrew

Since its already up, I'll give an update for anyone who'd like to know.
I dropped the motor back in a few weeks before thanksgiving and finnaly hauled it to Mazsport in Largo.
Scott started work on it about a week ago, finishing up fuel lines, rewiring the engine harness and installing the Microtech/Dash Unit.

I will be picking the car up this Wednesday for a 1500 mile breakin roadtrip around the state, and take it back over to them after the 1st for a power tune.

Good luck with your entire project. Next time I need an engine rebuild I plan to pull it myself.

Cool. Let us know how the tuning goes. Also, when breaking it in, remember not to cruise at the same rpm. You need to vary it up quite a bit.

Yanni, don't be a ***** (j/k) hehee

Glad to hear it's running again, Jeff is a good dude, did my streetporting, although I rebuilt the engine.
