For those of you with an aftermarket steering wheel?

What the hell did you do with the cruise control? I really want an efini wheel, but i love the cruise control, expecially the location of the buttons... has anyone found a way to reloate it to a similar spot on the efini wheel?

thanks, Mike

Either that or if you want a true aftermarket wheel(not efini, but sparco, momo, etc) then try to get ahold of a HKB hub with the air bag disable connector and cruise control buttons on the hub. I got one through a private party and now I can have my aftermarket wheel, and keep my cruise control.

XS:
1. Make a small template of the reverse of your steering wheel (the bolt holes and spokes) with cardboard. Add an "ear" to mount your CC control buttons.
2. Take that to a hardware shop or machine shop that has thin aluminum sheets and buy, beg, "borrow" or steal a good size piece.
3. Cut and drill the holes fot the steering wheel.
4. Smooth and paint flat black or color of choice.
5. Connect CC control buttons.
6. Bolt custom plate between hub and wheel
7. Connect CC wires
Enjoy!
I hope this helps

You can get the thin aluminum stock at Home Depot, I think.
