What wiring stuff are you concerned with?

the fan speed

there are wires of different size and i know that the size is the resistance which makes the fan go faster or slower but if i want those wire longer, what do i do? it will change the wire resistance if i do that???

what have you done for those wires?

thanks a lot

i just used 10-12 gauge for them
the .1XXX ohms of resistance isnt gonna slow u down that much..mabe 2-3 rpms

i havent noticed any real difference in fan speed

Ummmm, NO!
The fan speed is controlled by the different combinations of the 4 control relays. The control sources are the ecu, the ac, and the water temp (don't remember the last one).
The amount of current drawn by the fans at the highest speed can be supported by wire as small as 16 awg, the stock wires are 10 awg. The resistance increase is neglageable if u splice in 10 awg wires (how much longer do u need, 10 ft?) The wires are over engineered to prevent failiur. Use 12 or 14 awg if u want, won't change a bit.

BTW the only thing on the car that is that sensitive to resistance chages are the wires to the injectors.

well if you read carefully, i am talking about a/c relocation so when i talk about fan speed, i am talking about the speed the air is coming in the car, not the radiator fan.

you know, that button where you can select the 4 speed between the temperature and the location of the air... on the dash that is...

my bad, I gues I'm not the only one whos got the wrong idea. But same theory holds true, splicing in a couple of feet of wire will not effect the fan speed.

even if it is the wire that does the resistance? the slow speed doesn't have the same size of wire as the higher speed. every speed as a different wire size.
