To those with the water injection system
Do you guy have to retune your map when you install the water injection?I assume that it will change your a/f ratio. And also, which ECU do you use to control the injector.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
The basic answer is yes.
Most cars are set very rich especialy if running a single turbo. You an pull some fuel out and add some timing advance.
However if you ignition system is realy strong (good CDI racing set up) then you can simply add the WI and cold race plugs and away you go !
If your ignition system is marginal, and WI will show up any deficiency in theis area, then you will need to tune the car around the WI system, I strongly recommend you do not do this ! Get a good ignition system and use the WI for it's designed purpose, to allow you to run heavily boost without thermal overload of the engine or the turbine, that is the idea of running this technology, to make the engine live under hard conditions.
You should be able to run fairly rich 11.0:1 + 10 to 20% water to fuel ratio without misfiring, if you have a misfire then you need more spark
I repeat do not tune the car around the WI by "excessivley" leaning the fuel out, or by fitting hotter spark plugs to get the engine to run strong, this is the wrong direction to go in if you want to increase the reliable operation of your rotary........I know from experience

What if I am looking to add WI as purely an anti-deton device? (meaning tune the car w/o WI, then add WI for safety)
TIA!
