For those with an RHD FD in the US... (except those who converted a legal LHD to RHD)

4) Do you think I could get a rust free LHD FD in Nevada or California for $4000? If so, I'm on my way there now with my chequebook.

It just seems that you have a lot of rage over something that doesn't have any direct impact on you.

Rated doesn't mean actual. So we should all dyno our cars at the dealer because their stated figures are false.

I have no rage for this. Its stupid. I laugh at the people who worry about this.

I just like open discussion.

Btw yes you can prob get a that free LHD fd Cali/Nevada. Maybe not 4k, but maybe 6-7 with our shitty market.

Fact is, is if you have documents to stop authorities from harassing you, you have nothing to worry about.

If you don't, face the consequence and get a LHD.

I've heard Honda underrated some of their car as well, RX-8 rating were false at first when it came out (overrated), so dealer number is not always accurate.

Yea this thread is pretty stupid. It doesn't even belong in this section.

I understand it cant be spot on.

But 276 and 320?? lol big difference.

Wait let me get a JDM supra and just get a PFC so i can adjust it, then i can go past 180kph. But wait, it still has the JDM 276 hp. Maybe i should swap out the JDM engine out of my JDM supra yo and put a USDM engine with 320hp. Even though we have supras in the US, i still want thatz right hand drivezzz yo.

There have been bone stock jdm supras dyno close to 300 @ the wheels let alone the rated 276 crank so maybe you should do a bit of reading before you look any more ignorant. The gentlemens agreement restricted what the manufacturers could rate their hp numbers, you really think that somehow GTRs, rx7's, supras, and the rest of the turbo performance cars from the 90s in japan magically all came up with 276hp exactly?

2) yes you can disable the governor, then what's the advantage of Jdm? If US cars don't need a pfc to go 155mph etc from factory?

3) sure I do believe 276 was rated for all Jdm. But a usdm supra rated at 320. Again what's the advantage to Jdm in this case?

4) you want a rust free car? Get a Cali or Nevada fd.
As per number 4, how would going to California or Nevada help in getting a rust-free car? I live in Nevada, I've lived in Nevada my whole life, and there are no laws against rust, and I'd have to say about 60% of our cars that are older than a 2007 have rust on them. California is even worse. If you want a rust free car go to a state where you can't register them if they have rust, the only one I know of is Virginia (or one of the Virginia's anyways, don't remember which)
