For those with the RE amemiya or C-west light kits

Are these kits 100% bolt on or is there some sort of chopping involved? I heard that you have to cut part of the frame to install it can anyone give me any insight?

The only kit that is 100% bolt on, plug and play I have heard is the East Bears.
