Do you have to reuse the 93' bumper attachment brackets? Re-rivet them on the 99 skin? Or does the 99' front end assy. come with new brackets already riveted on and ready to go?

What does rivet mean? Im getting a 99 spec bumper soon. I assumed you could just screw it in the front.

Swap out brackets from old bumper.

Thats what i did.

 

Just did mine last weekend. That was the exact issue I came across. Not a hard process to swap the parts over. Hardest part was getting the parts off the old bumper. I just drilled out the old rivets (not damaging the aluminum parts).

EDIT: never mind, I found it. Some do, some don't.

 

I transferred them from my old '93 to a '99 plateless.

 

I bought the rebar from rx7.com , ari was great to deal with.
