you need wider wheels in the back. more gauges, jimlab bushing set, a pulley kit, street (or bigger) port, and engine torque brace (even though its an automatic), something other than the HKS intake (poor choice), and what's the point of the 99 tails if you are just going to cover them up with that ugly RE finisher?
EDIT: haha, I just realized I suggested a short shifter for an auto. :P

Hmm... thanks for that list. Oops, didn't realize I still had the '99 spec lights on the list. Although, after you saying that I thought about it... and I think I may just take the RE light cover off the list. Thanks again for that list.

lol ttpowerd, why "show???"? What do you think I should do with the car when I'm done with it? I think it'd make a wonderful show car. It'd also be a wonderful car for testing... to see how fast a person can make an Auto FD.

If you have $70k to throw around in the next couple years, why not put in secondary PP 13REW w/ T51RKai BB w/ full 99 spec bodykit and a few gauges. That would be killer... on the show and the street races.

you misunderstood. I meant for show you would probably be best with 18" wheels. They look really good. But the best for autox or something of that nature would be 17".

Oh, ok... don't mind my slight stupidity, lol. I normally don't wake up until about 12:00 PST. Yah, the 18's should be fine. I don't really plan on autox'ing the car, just street racing, some drag racing, mostly a weekend car and show car though. The Strut Bars, Sway Bars, etc. should be just fine for normal street use.

Yah, BigRed, that's what I plan on doing. Sure Munchy, you can post your list. Have you found anything that I could possibly add to my list, or change perhaps? Thanks.

Make sure you do things that compliment each other if you are doing them in stages (which you should). For example, make sure you get a new ecu (power fc, haltech, etc.) after about 3 performance mods. I know that you will live with more but it is much better to be safe than sorry. Just learn a little as you go and you can always post to make sure you are doing them in a good order.

don't forget the big brake kit, mc, and ss braided lines, CW brake vent, oil cooler, greddy intake elbow, fuel filter/fpr/fuel pressure gauge relocation, oil cap, m2 sway bar mounts, racing beat sway bar brace, m2 toe links, feed cf handles, v1 radar detector, viton vaccuum hoses, and knock retard system,
and of course, the little stuff, like SledDriver pedals, SS door sill, Steering wheel, shift **** (they make shift ***** for automatics, right?), and belt pads ( )..
and if you are planning on sprucing up your interior with the stereo system, cage, seats, gauges, computer, all that stuff, then the thing to do now days in the show circuit is to not tint your windows at all, so that people can see inside.
I'm more of a privacy guy, so I have my windows tinted pretty dark.

Martini, do you know where I can find those parts online so I can get a price idea? As for the interior stuff... I'll probably get pedals, probably not an aftermarket steering wheel because I still want the car to be street legal and I don't want to lose the airbag so I'll probably just get a Wheelskin or something of that sort. Tint... Well, if at a show the doors'll probably be open anyway; and, for street driving I'd like to have some tint. *shrugs*

But hell, if we are dreaming up a list, why not!

lol Mahjik. Wouldn't doing that conversion add some weight to the FD; or is it not enough to really matter? Besides, spending upwards of $15k on just doors doesn't really seem very rewarding to me... lol.

However, I don't believe that would be any extra weight. You might even come out a little lighter since the doors would be carbon fiber.

However, on a stock FD, sure all that stuff would add up.
BTW, in your list, you listed the Stage 5 kit from the RX-7 Store which comes with:
Apex N1 Exhaust
Unorthodox Main Drive Pulley
Apex Power FC + Commander
Greddy 2Row Front Mount Intercooler
Midpipe
Fuel Pump
XS Engineering T04S Turbo Kit
1300cc Injectors
Greddy Profec B Boost Controller
Greddy Pulley Set
So you don't need:
*SR Motorsports Power FC and Commander
*Blitz SBC-iD Boost Controller
*RX7.com RP FD Secondary Rail and 1600cc Injector Kit with SX Regulator and Pump (unless you just *want* it)
*Custom Dual Catback Exhaust with 3" Chrome Tips
Also, the Greddy 3-Piece Intercooler Pipe Kit is for the stock IC location intercoolers. You can just get the GReddy Elbow.

my god, there's 2 of us
I thought I was the one with the big budget (figured I divert $70 k I was going to buy a Viper with) to rebuild my FD.
Looking at your list I have a lot of similarities on mine but they sure don't add up to $70k in my book. That's the whole reason I'm NOT buying the RT10.
Aside from some of your body and interior modifications, the only thing I'll be lacking in my dream plan (which will be reality engine wise within a week) is SOME of your fuel system. I'm at under $20k thus far but the labor bill isn't final and I have some body work to be done (last).
I don't anticipate going above $35k regardless though and I'm dropping close to $5k on wheels alone. $70k sounds way too high for those mods.
