thinking about parting out my car...what would you try and get out of it?
i'm thinking, and have been for a long time, of parting out my car to go with a built V8, i'm just sick of the rotary. this is going to be a drag car, so no "handling" statements please.
anyways, before i commit to this project, i wanna make sure there is an interest in most of my parts, and i'm curious to see what you would expect to pay.
the 2 big things i'm caught up on are the motor and turbo.
the motor is an RX7Store BP, it was originally a Pineapple motor that only lasted about 5k miles before it took a crap, one of the housings collapsed near the coolant seal, and it looked like someone tried to fill it in with silicone, sad really, plus the ports were rather small and much MUCH larger now . the new motor was just dropped in a couple weeks ago, and i haven't even finished breaking it in for 500miles. all new housings, 3mm seals, polished everything, will include the rail and 1600/1000 injectors, tranny, etc etc
then i have a T51 Kai kit, which only has 6k miles on it previously tuned for 16psi, the car has been babied thus far, it's sad actually. i have 13" wide rims on the rear and whenever i would get into it just a little bit, the rear would squat and melt the tires on the fenders, pretty much it just drives around looking good for right now.
what would be a fair price?

I sold my blown rotary/5spd with turbos and harness on e-bay for $950.
Had no interest in it on this site.
You might be better off selling the single turbo on here and the rest on e-bay.
If you have the patience to part it out you'd be much better off

Sorry about the rotary . . . . gives me an incentive to keep it near stock!!!
I'd probably be interested in some interior pieces OR a boost controller if you have one.
