Thinking about buying 3rd Gen rx7.....Need some advice

Ive been super interested in this car forever and I know a lot about their background but I was really wondering if all the horor stories are true? I want a rotoary but I do not want all the problems I hear about. Are these cars reliable/worth the money or am i going to be putting money into it all the time to keep it running? Please let me know the ups and downs about this car maintenance wise and performance wise. Thanks

hahaha, dont be so negative 7_rocket. first thing, you know about the car, so you know about the flaws. youve been doing your homework. if you replace the cooling system (ast tank, radiator, and hoses) and the vacume lines you SHOULD be good. but there are little other things that you need to take care of too. such as the fuel filter, clean the fuel injectors, new fuel pump (the car is 10 years old min), and downpipe you should be good. oh yeah, dont forget about the rats nest. try and get that checked to make sure nothing needs to be replace like the solinoids. i think thats about it, although i know im missing some things.

Wow, you're the first person to EVER ask these questions!

There is a newbie sticky/FAQ right at the top. There is a search function at the top right. Happy learning.

Heres some advice: just do it. Buy the car and you will be happy, otherwise you will just think about the car all day long, all night long. You can no longer function, cant do work, cant sleep...

buy the car
