Unhappy Think my motor is shot, details inside!!!!

In the past few days I have been experiencing problem with clouds of white smoke on start up. When the car gets to normal operating temperature it stops. It idles a little funnt when the smoke is coming out but my car idles funny anyway. My theory is, a seal has sprung a leak somewhere and when it gets warm(expands) it closes off the leak. My next problem is this though. My Turbo's are shot. They make good boost but they are leaking oil. I am pretty sure that they are water cooled as well, and if so, can the leak be in the turbo making this white smoke, or is it most likely in the motor.

Motor has 60k. No mods except for CB. No blue smoke, just an oil leak.

White smoke would be water and/or coolant... Have you checked your coolant levels lately? How long does the smoke take to burn off, more than like 30 seconds? It sounds like your coolant seals might be going south, have you ever overheated it?

A little smoke on startup is normal, I get a little bit of white smoke when I first start my car but it goes away after about 10 seconds. This is only on cold starts though, if I am starting the car again after parking it for a bit it will not smoke at all.

we are not talking normal amounts of smoke. It smokes a good deal, then at warm operating temp, it stops. Other than the smoke, and the oil leak the car runs good. Only from cold starts. When it does smoke alot, it smokes alot. But then dies away. I am looking into a rebuild in the near future anyway, guess i'll deal with it
