Very sad...most likely someone you know. Now you won't be able to trust anyone of your associates from local RX-7 clubs. Really blows. No matter where you go, you will find people like this. I fly model airplanes and there are scumbags that steal other peoples planes, too. Really low to do something like that, most of them are built by hand and a lot of time is spent building, prepping, painting.

Before I read this, with their selection of parts, I was going to say; Had to be someone with an FD. There is no question if they left the TII blocks. Problem is, those parts probably wont be sold (at least for a while). They will be used. The person is probably reading through these threads too, staying aware of what not to do.

Bummer for you and all the buyers involved. Hopefully something will turn up

Sorry to hear of this. I live on a military base, and I kringe of having my garage in some communities I see in NJ. It's easy to say "should have", but most people just don't think of someone stealing specific parts.

Did you have home owners insurance, or renters insurance? They should cover break-ins on your property.

Homeowners should cover it if you have some sort of receipts/pictures/proof... I would file a claim and see if they can wait. A friend of mine had a bunch of really nice love music equipment jacked and filed a claim, they paid out and then the cops got all his stuff back so he had double.... I will keep my eyes open, look on ebay.

i live in fords which is only couple towns over, i know of the local fds in my town, if i see any new upgrades to these cars ill let you know. and ill ask around from my fell rx7 owners if they hear anything. what side of carteret you live on the good side or the **** side? though the **** side is spreading to the good side of carteret, and its def a inside job, the fact they went for such rare parts, only a rotary owner would know what those parts were, hope you catch them.

make sure you use searchtempest to search craigslist nationwide.

it will be obvious if any spirit R seats show up for sale anywhere...

also, the person is going to be a member of this forum, so they'll be reading all this.

In the tri-state area there is a VERY large amount of deceitful operations. This sounds exactly like the 100k full carbon fiber FD race chassis that was in a trailer that dissipated into thin air. You need to be extremely careful whom knows what unfortunately. I've always had ideas of groups who could liquidate parts like this without blinking an eye.

I'm always on the hunt for suspicious sales so I'll keep my eye open for you as I ironically get contacted to purchase items and inquiring for items. I think it would be mutually beneficial if we could formulate a "stolen/missing parts" thread compiled. Something needs to be done. My shop landlord has a tenant very close by that has had cars pull in without lights on at very strange hours but unable to catch. Thankfully everything is locked up and nearly impossible to pull a job that wouldn't attract attention quickly.

I know your forum name somehow. Please pm me if we've had any dealings cause I would like to see if I can help you connect some dots here. I'm very suspicious of someone in-particular. They kind of lurk on the forums without anyone noticing and I'll keep the information to myself as it might be important.

I would also suggest that good suggestions to find the parts not be posted as the guilty parties involved are surely watching and can even easier cover themselves by reading all your tips. FORWARD INFORMATION VIA PM SO IT CAN BE USED EFFECTIVELY. The responsible parties are extremely smart, you need to act decisively to get them...
