That sucks man. Did you have anyone pick up stuff from your place recently? I'd suggest they could be possible suspects. Good luck

Dude totally sucks. Not just for me, but I feel your pain too considering how much money all those parts were. I hope they get caught and end up getting charged with big time grand theft.

Edit: I'm sure you've already thought of it, but have you asked your neighbors (if you have any) about trucks being parked around your house today? To get all that stuff they would have HAD to have had a truck and driven off with a bed full of stuff.

look at your paypal account to see who you gave ur address too... Even people you send stuff too, maybe someone from a rotary meet you went too... think of people you met and knew about you having all that stuff in the garage. I would start from people you have dealth with in the past month.

Alex - good luck

Yes asked all surrounding neighbors and of course nobody seen a thing or saw anything suspicious. Its funny how nosey my neighbors can get at times but when something like this happens they all have no clue!. Im totally bummed right now.

Those parts are going to be very distinctive, and if they turned up for sale (even one of the items) you would be able to track down the rest hopefully.. But that sucks

Someone had to have known they were in your garage, in order to even bother breaking in. So chances are they've been there before and you've met them. Or they were "friends" of people who have been inside your garage. IE someone walks into a bar, "Hey I know where there are some nice RX7 parts in this guy's garage.." and someone overhears and figures out where to find you, etc..

About 5 years ago, some ***** stole a heap of rare Mopar parts from me. 426 Hemi heads, 440 blocks, 413 Wedge engine, etc... A month later, the idiot is frequenting all the workshops in my area, offering these parts for sale. A workshop calls me and says they have the guy there trying to sell my parts. I go with cops, and bust him trying to sell my stuff.
He takes me and the cops to his vacant block of land. Shows us where he buried all my engines with his earthmoving equipment, in the hopes he would get off easy. And he did. No jail time, nothing. Because he cooperated with Police :/

Sorry to hear about this incident. I've heard of this type of thing happening quite frequently lately, and it's sad and disheartening when you think it's most likely a fellow "enthusiast". I know it's after the fact, but I've recently invested about $200 in some cameras and a dvr that oversee my property. Perhaps something to think about for the future. Some cheap insurance , which if they don't se the cameras (or even if they do) may or may not prevent the theft, but at least hopefully it will be helpful in catching them if it does happen.

I don't hear about this happening in the rx7 community often but shadiness like this occurs. Crazy they were able to remove all of that without anyone seeing anything...it is def someone you know or a "friend" of a friend because there is no way someone "randomly" is going to target an rx7 owners garage. The market is too small and most thieves really don't know much about the parts to want to mess with them, of course electronics, gauges, turbos, that can be used on other vehicles are sometimes a target. That is a ton of stuff to move and it had to have been multiple people obviously. Sux bro I hope you get some leads and find them.

That's very disappointing... It takes time to load up a couple short blocks and large items. Not exactly a smash and grab job. Hope that you find your parts, definitely a very sad situation.

The funny thing is. Is they knew exactly what to take. I had 7 shortblocks layed out next to eachother. 3 being fd and 4 turboII blocks and they went straight for the rew blocks smh.

OP, make a thread in the regional section as well.

I am going to leave this thread here to get more exposure so more members of the community are aware of this.

If the person is trying to sell the spirit r seats it should be easier to find them. Do you happen to have pics of the seats and other parts before they were stolen? Would be good for reference when trying to prove if someone stole them. any marks tears fading?

Also, go on facebook and see if you can get some of the local car meet/clubs to post the info on their page.

That sucks man. If I were you, I'd go buy a cheapo security system or just get a webcam and link up with your PCs HDD to record whenever it sense motion.

Soon as I move into my new house (living with a roommate right now) and it's just me, that's the first thing I am doing. Two of them as a matter of fact, one pointing down the driveway and one on the light pole at the end of my driveway to snag the license plate. Maybe even one in the garage.

I'm just here to give you a bump ,I hope who ever it was get caught . but it more then likely wont be by the police . they just dont care.

Look on craigs list.

My friend had his wheels stolen and found them on craigslist called the police to let them know , and they didnt even do anything...

I'm seriously sorry to hear about this . and like I said keep an eye out on craigs list and ebay
