Thick Intake Filters Cause Flow Problems

Was just wondering If "thick" intake filters could cause flow problems and not allow as much air through as a thinner intake filter?

I think my turbo is going it makes a weird noise when the car is cold, almost like a fluttering sound...?

thick intake filters? i'd think any aftermarket filters would give more flow then the stock airbox, and the stock intake doesnt choke it

Not sure if the noise is coming from the Airpump feeds one of them ? or if its the turbo itself
