Thermostat Replacement Q's

Can anyone give me a couple quick tips to install a new thermostat in my FD? I have the shop manual downloaded in PDF format but, I dont have access to it now. Any other info pertaining thermostat replacement would be great.

Thanks,

Matt Walsh.

Take off the stuff that's in your way (intercooler piping and so forth), remove some coolant if you can, otherwise it'll be messy. Take the bolts off the housing, disconnect the level sensor, and break apart the halves. Take out the old one (screwdriver to pry might be necessary), and put in the new one (jiggle pin at 12 oclock). Reassemble and refill with coolant.

It allows pressure across the t'stat to stay level without significantly affecting flow. Also good for pullin'.

due to recent research I have came to the conclusion that if that pin is even 1 degree to the left or the right you are putting your engine in serious danger! I would recommend fixing that problem ASAP or you will most definatly have a coolant seal falure in the near future!!!

wait, no....Im lying. I hope I had you going
