thermostat questions

what is the best thermostat for the FD?
and do you change them when you alter mods?
does anyone know the right thermostat & part number?
and is the local mazda dealship the best place to get them?

Get the stock mazda thermostat.

I second that, the stock thermostat is the best, accept no cheezy substitutions. BTW, if you're going to install it yourself, make sure that small circle thing points straight up

Hey bro what you can do is when you go to Mazda request a hot enviroment Thermo, and that way your
engine will stay a lot cooler...

is this what I have in my car now? I have been told by some that I should get the Miata thermostat, but I don't know which one.... anyone have any more details?

Are you sure they didn't say thermoswitch or thermosensor? People use those to turn the cooling fans on sooner.
