Actually I think they make an application for the coolant hoses already. The XS tubo kit i have has coolant hoses and XS uses Thermal Flex stuff. So...I'm guessin that they do.

Chris,

Thanks for the legwork! I ordered a set in black directly from Doug Scott of Thermoflex...He says they'll post the charge to my VISA when they actually ship the product!

Best regards,

mL

yzf-r1,

The radiator hose that runs underneath the airbox blew as I was coming out of the "Keyhole" turn at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, May of 1999.

Unbeknownst to me, the factory rubber hose was swelling under high pressure, and allowed the hose to contact one of the main pulley bolts, which of course was spinning--"BOOOOM" was all I heard! I thought I blew a tire! Then I saw my temp gauge shoot straight to the red zone, absolutely pegged in the red. It was then I knew that I'd blown a radiator hose!

If you track your car at all, especially in a hot climate, like Texas or So Cal, you will WANT these reinforced silicone radiator hoses! They ain't just for looks, man!

Is this GB closed or can I still get in?
If not how do I purchase them seperatly? No one else offers them for RX-7.

Contact Doug Scott directly at Thermoflex.

I called Doug about mine, and Doug says my hoses will be one of the first sets to ship...so I should receive my set next week (YAY!).

Call ThermalFlex 562.926.9090. I would imagine that you can still get them, or that you could get a group of buyers interested to have them do another production run.

I love mine, and they look great in red, along with red silicon vac lines and polished pieces galore under the hood.
The looks of course were just a bonus, I bought them because of their ability to stand up to the heat and abuse they're going to receive.

Thermal Flex also sells universal silicone heater hose that can be used for all but a few hoses . Only comes in blue and minimum order is 25 ft. You need about 9 ft. of the 10mm ands 2 ft. of the 16mm.
