Is there a way to differentiate between an FD3S Manual and Auto Rear Drivetrain?

I know manual FDs came with a 4.1 gearing, and the autos came with 3.9.

Looking at buying a complete rear subframe, diff, and axles from a JDM imported FD3S, but seller doesn't know what car it came out of.

Is there a visual way to tell if it came out of a Manual or Automatic car (other than opening the pumpkin and counting teeth)?

Thanks in advance.

Yep it should be a 4.3

rotate the yolk/front flange around almost 4 times if the axle gear goes around once it's a 3.9 if you have to rotate a little further it's a etc......

Easiest way is to look for the cast iron counterweight attached to the manual companion flange.

Pic on the left is the auto, right manual.

Good pic showing the differences between the companion flanges that . If it is a manual it'll almost certainly be a 4.1. But worth checking just in case it came from an RS/RZ and is a 4.3.
