Question Is there something wrong with my clutch

When i bought my car in Sept. 04 i was told that there was a new clutch put it, it had about 300 miles on the clutch when i bought it. I drive around now and it has roughly 2300 miles on it, and i have to let the clutch damn near all the way out(like half way) before i go, is that how all the 93 7's are or did the dude that put my clutch in not do something right, like set it or something. Another thing is when i go from 1st to 2nd it feels like i'm hitting something like its not opening all the way with the clutch all the way to the floor. Is this normal, i wouldnt think so.

Also check to make sure your clutch hydraulics are air free.
