Is there a Roll Cage / Roll Bar that doesn't require moving the drivers seat forward?

Looking for a rollbar (4pt) or roll cage (6pt) that doesn't require me to move the drivers seat forward to get it to fit. I do not have a problem removing the bins and mounting in around there. However, I need the drivers seat to be able to scoot all the way back... I'm 6'3" so moving it up a notch or two will not work.

Who makes these!?

Thanks

kirks

Kirks roll bar. I have the one that does, but you can order it. It does require you to remove the rear bins though. Good quality and CHEAP.

Maybe the Raceshop one? I have it, but I don't have my interior installed so I couldn't confirm. I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong though.

As far as I know, Larry (TheRaceShop) is not making any more bars.

To answer your E-mail, I am 5'8 so I don't really need the seat to be all teh way back but if I had to, there is still about another 5-6 inches that I can move the seat back.

But just to remind you that I have the Recaro Bucket seats so they don't recline.

I love the Raceshop's Roll bar and very happy that I was fortunate enough to get one, but when I do move back to Cali I will probably go with a weld in Cage.

Yeah the Recaro RZ's - $3100 for a pair of seat is rape. Haha... nice seats though.

Yeah, this sucks. I'm 6' 2-3'' as well and I want a 6 point cage... I think the only way i'll get what I want is to pre-fab my own get the dimensions and have someone do the bends. I really want to make sure that my head is no where near the rear bar. Only way to get exactly that is install your seats and build it to your liking while you're comofortable driving position.

If you could find a coustom shop to build it they can be made to allow for the seats to go back all the way. Also you can get the swing out bars that allow you to swing bar 5 and 6 out or remove them when you want. Molley or mild steel and with out shipping it might be about the same price as premade> Good luck.

Yea, I had Scott at Izzy's custom cages make my cage. They start under the bins and he cut holes in the plastics to make it come up through. From outside the car you can't even tell I have a 6 point roll bar in the car. I can scoot my seat all the way back and the only thing that I can't do is recline my seat back all of the way because it will hit the harness bar. BTW I am 6'2" and 180 lbs.

I agree, Kirk 4pt bolt-in. They have two models for the FD, one that sits in the bin area requiring removal of your bins, and one that bolts to the floor before the bins, letting you keep them in place. The one that sits in the bin area allows you move the seat all the way back to the last notch, but you may need to move the back of the seat forward a notch. It's been a while, I can't remember. I drive (or used to drive) the car with the seat all the way back and I did not lose any rearward movement when I put the 4pt in my car. I love that Kirk bar!
