Is there a difference in weight between stock 93 wheels and other years?

I have heard that the lightest stock wheels are from a 93 and Mazda made them heavier to increase their strength in 94. Is this true?

There are two types of wheels for 3rd gen...
brittle kind prone to cracking and the non-brittle kind but a little heavier...I forget which but one is around 16lbs...

The "stronger reinforced" wheel has extra grooves behind it...there's a pic somewhere, but it's really easy to tell just by feeling behind the wheel for the double groove...

There are the 5 spokes, in the "V" portion between each spoke you should feel behind if it feels it's completely open in the back like a butter dish it's the brittle kind if it's like the butter dish but with a divider column in the middle it's the reinforced kind.
