6 speed rx8 trans in a 3rd gen?

I am wondering if it is possible to use the 6 speed RX8 trans with the 3rd gen motor. Does anybody know where there is some literature on this. i have thought about it, and am sure it has been done. I just would like to read up on it to see if its worth it. (if the 6 speed will hold the power) i am working on getting to 450rwhp, and would like to know what the limits of this are..
the reason i am asking is that my buddy ran across one at a salvage yard and snagged up the engine, trans. (he sold the engine already.) if it will hold the power, i will probably use it. i wouldnt think it would need a custom bellhousing. but i am not sure.. like i said i would like some literature.
thanks in the future for your time and help.

You can search for that both on here and RX8club but I thought it was said it was the same as the Miata. There are people using the carbon driveshat though. Don't quote me on the trans as i'm just repeating hearsay and don't know for a fact.
