this is the temperature sensor...right?

Whilst continuing on my project, I had the water temp sensor literally disintegrate when I attempted to remove the electrical connector. At least I THINK it is the temp sensor.
What is the black colored sensor below the orange colored one?

Also, I discovered my water pump to be just flat SHOT...the bearings are GONE in it....trippy.

The black one below the one you broke is the coolant level sensor. It appears that someone relocated the coolant temp sensor to its present location on your engine.

I'm not informed on this but since you have an auto, it will be different than the manual guys. Just a heads-up.

I'm definitely no expert on these cars yet but I was looking at tapping an aftermarket temp sensor and that broken orange sensor seems to be at a popular place for tapping aftermarket sensors. Maybe a previous ownder did that?

No, I am pretty sure this is the factory location for the automatic tranny models.
I AM confused on the other two sending units though.... (see other thread).
