temperature psychosis

AAAARRRGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!

this temperature thing is driving me crazy. Two days ago 92F I'm on the highway temps 88 C then up to 94C when i turned off the AC. As I made a stop, rose to 100C, this was despite the AC being on full blast. I blew away a riced out civic as I was in a hurry to get back on the highway. the entrance ramp is sort of a secondary road, so i did a quick run to about 110 for a few seconds. Shot up to 104C. While on the highway it took about 15 miles to get to high 97-98.

What the F!@#.

Is anybody else having these type of heating problems in full summer. I'm pretty sure one of the relays is not working. My power FC was set to turn the fans on at 88C, but I know for a fact that does not work. THe fans come on only if I use the AC.

In contrast, my friend Mike with a GT35/40 and V mount set up does not go past 88C. Last week (temps only mid 60's), we did a "country drive" with a bunch of Porches, and I went up to mid-low 90's, he did not budge from high 80's. We were pushing hard, and only the twin turbo's and a ruf turbo running racing fuel would pull away from us slightly.

Anyways, I have a metal shield sort of like Damian's, but not as fancy, blocking the hot air from coming into my RE Amemiya intake. I cannot afford to do V mount, or vented hood now, and have though about taking my thermostat that I changed last year along with the waterpump!!, and drilling it full of holes to see if that helps some. Its clear to see that the hot air coming off the radiator has nowhere to go. What the hell were they thinking when they made it like that?????????

SO any ideas, advice, donations of $$$$$$$$$$$, (right!).

And on V-mounts. Anybody see the R-Magic set up in the recent Super Street. What an awesome looking V-mount. Its in the future.

I tried to attach a picture of my engine bay, but not sure if I did it correctly.

Thanks

104C = 219F

That's not a problem. In stock form, the fans don't even turn on until 226F.

If you start to see around 115C, then start to worry.

A single turbo v-mount car is going to run MUCH cooler than stock rad/IC setup twins. Your temps seem fairly normal for that heat range to me. Obviously you need to find out why your fans aren't coming on as set.

mine has been resting at around 101C in traffic and drifts between 101C and 93C on the highway... just figured out my damn license plate holder was put on upside down and as a result blocks 50% of my opening instead of the 10% it should in proper position. this might not help in traffic but it sure as hell should make a tiny difference on the high way. getting a coolant flush to go along with this "adjustment."

its very temperature senstive... the outside is like 95F and my temps run around 101C in traffic.... the outside is like 80F my temps rest around 92-95C in traffic... 90C on the highway. i'm scared, but i'm also being stupid and paranoid cause this is the first summer i've owned the car so i had no idea what to expect... not to mention the first few weeks of having a PFC commander and reading the temps. 114C is where the stock gauge starts to move. so... for me, 110C is where i panic and park it to cool her down. i've never gotten over 104 and that was sitting in traffic at a red light for 3 minutes and it just barely went 104 for a second then dropped down to 101 again.
