OK I JUST DID A MOTOR SWAP. I GOT A USED MOTOR WITH 50K ON IT. I FINALY FINISHED IT TODAY AND NOW I HAVE A COUPLE OF LIL KINKS TO WORK OUT. I DONT GET ANY TEMPATURE READING. WHERE IS MY TEMPATURE SENSOR? MAYBE I DIDNT PLUG IT IN. SECONDLY I HAVE NO PLUG FOR MY AIRPUMP. COULD THIS MAKE MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON AND MAKE MY CAR RUN FUNNY?
The water temp sender is located on the driver's side of the motor screwed into the rear (I think?) rotor housing. It's really small and is tucked away under the oil filter area/ oil pressure sender area.
Yes, the air pump unplugged can cause your car to idle funny.
Also, did you think carefully about what you were doing when you decided to install a 50k old motor? Seems very risky....
