temp gauge question
temp gauge question
I finally got my temp gauge installed into the water pump housing after work today. I have been monitoring my temp via my PFC for a while now, and I was suprised to find that the temp reported on the PFC was 86 and the temp gauge never broke 80. (I am 99% sure this isn't a problem, but I have to ask any way)
what do you all think?

PFC uses stock water temp gauge not the most accurate thing in the world. Also since the sensors are no in the exact same location there might be some variation in temperature , though it shouldnt be as much as 6 degrees. If anything i would go with the higher temp just to be safe. 86 degrees is about normal op temp for a FD.
The PFC does NOT use the stock water temp gauge. It uses the stock water temp sensor. And the stock gauge IS accurate in a sense-- it shows exactly what Mazda intended it to. If you do the linearization, it seems to work very well.
