The OEM is not accurate. You need an aftermarket one pronto.

You started a new thread to ask a question that you could have answered yourself by doing 30 seconds worth of seraching.

I just searched for: temp gauge

Here is the first result:

Stock temp gauge - how bad is it?

Forum rules say you should SEARCH before you start a new thread. You failed.

And for the record, the stock temp gauge is accurate, it's just not linear. It pretty much has 3 readings: "cold" / "operating temp" / "you're screwed".
