Definitely post pics of the rotor housings once they're cleaned up.

 

I need to take a picture of my rotors using meth/water injection for 10k miles...not a lot of miles but a lot of fuel and boost; 17psi +/- everytime I started the car.

 

my injectors were here waiting for me when i got home from the ski trip. $16 each plus $11 shipping (so $75 total for all 4 injectors). they did basic cleaning, replaced the o-rings (with Viton ), etc. each injector was individually wrapped and sealed, plus they tossed in a little tube o' lube. the injectors are all stock - primary are 550cc and secondaries are 850cc. here are the results:

 

god a fd engine bay scares me...... that is almost damn ridiculas

good luck with the rebuild man, it goes together almost as fast as it comes apart.....leaving you to wonder what you forgot

thanks guys! i've been taking a little time off from the project so i can work on some other things, but i should be back at it soon enough.

i cleaned up my rotors and rotor housings and they look like they're in great shape, despite the massive amounts of carbon i had to scrub off the rotors. i think my leather-wrapped center console is on its way back, too (Redlinegoods.com does great work). the next thing i do will probably be my battery relocation, then i need a couple gauges and a shift **** and i'll be putting my interior back together. then comes the engine bay...

btw, BoostFrenzy, i love your sig. great choice of cars

 

as is quite obvious, progress has been very slowly lately. other than my leather-wrapped center console being at the post office (missed the sig-req'd delivery yesterday), i've officially put my project on hold. i'll be putting part of the interior together so i can take a pic of the excellent leather goodness i've gotten from Redlinegoods.com, but otherwise my priorities have shifted to a new business that i am starting. however, if it works out, my FD will be reborn as a whole other animal as soon as i get situated.

problem fixed. the "rechargeable" batteries weren't so rechargeable. camera runs like a champ now

 

it was like Christmas in... what month is it now? March. yes, it was Christmas in March today. here's the leather-clad center console, not yet installed but that'll be done within a couple hours if i can get to it. RedlineGoods.com does excellent work, and i love their products (i'm not being paid to say this, i swear). also in the first pic is my latest victory, which i'll explain after the leather happiness pics.





this is the first one they have done, and i'm very happy with how it turned out. they took great care to cut the leather so it wouldn't be in the way of any mounting tabs or holes, and the form of the cover fits perfectly. it's absolutely amazing. i'll put up some more pics once it's in the car.

as for my latest victory, i have been fighting for my right to drink the best beer i have ever had, as it hasn't been available here in Georgia. and now i have it. Dogfish Head Brewery is now in the Augusta area!!! they only have Midas Touch available so far, but i was told Pangaea is on its way as well. i'm sure the 60- and 90-Minute ales will be available soon enough.

 

That leather wrapped console looks great! What was the price? I'm assuming they used brand new fresh leather correct? My console has a few small tears in it, this might be a great way to refresh it

 

yes, it's brand new, gloriously delicious leather. i'm not sure exactly how much they're charging for them, as i paid a "rough estimate" and had to ship my console to them in Poland so they could make the template. sorry i can't be more help.

btw, i'm no leather expert, but this appears to be the same leather they use for their shift boots. some forum members have had their boots for years and have seen great longevity out of them. i'm sure this will last even longer as it's not being worked like a shift boot is.

 

my interior is a work in progress, so excuse the mess. i have the shift boot that matches the rest of the black leather and red stitching, but i haven't installed it yet. and the transmission is next to the car, so no shift **** in at the moment

 

Now you just need to have the e-brake handle done

 

it'd look awesome, i'm sure. but i'm probably going to try to get it to match the shift **** i'll be getting.

 

More updates man! I know you have more pics to post, you were talking about it the other day at work!

 

the only thing that's changed that i haven't posted was that i cleaned the rotors and housings and all are in great shape. the "chatter marks" that were in the housings were just smears from turning the rotor inside the engine before actually taking it apart. the housings look great. otherwise, i don't know what you're talking about, you crazy bastid.

here's the pics of the leather-bound happiness installed. i'm mid-build so the interior is pieced together. when i put together properly it'll look much better. even as is, it looks amazing. i didn't realize how dirty that panel was until i looked at the pics, so excuse my mess! i'm also going to get a new shift ****, and if i can find one to match it, a new e-brake handle. i think to finish it off i'm going to get the console ashtray and have RedlineGoods.com wrap that to match the rest of it.

 

Excellent job, wonder if he can do the entire interior.

 

so far they've done an amazing job on everything they've gotten their hands on. the main issue is that they're in Poland. i had to ship my center console to Poland so they could make the template. i'm going to see about doing an ashtray console next. i'd love to have them do more, but do too much and nothing will fit together due to the thickness of the leather. this section, however, is perfect!
