Tail/Side Marker/Dash lights - TNS Relay

Hi everyone. I searched the forum and found some information regarding the problem I'm having.

Yesterday I went to turn the lights on and only the headlights came up. No dash, no rear, no side marker.

I have learned from searching that the possible culprit is the TNS relay. I tried to swap it with the one right beside it, which is identical, but when swapped the problem persists and the pop up lights do work with the relay that was originally plugged into the TNS relay spot.

This would make me think it is an issue with something else, however, I am not sure what else to check. I had a look at the fuse box in the footwell and everything seems to be fine there.
If there are any other fuses I should check and didn't, please let know. I can order the TNS relay, but I figured I'd like to hear any opinions/ideas from everyone here, since -like I said- swapping the relays does not change the situation and the allegedly broken relay seems to do its job when placed in the next spot.

I haven't tried to clean the contacts, however, they are all squeaky clean.

Thanks in advance,
Giovanni

Check fuses first. Relays really don't go out that often.

Thank you Dale, I did check the ones in the footwell, is there anywhere else to look?
I am not very good with wiring diagrams, I had a look at a few in the service manual, but I couldn't see anything that would help me, at least nothing I could see myself.

It's your TNS Relay...

Mine was doing the exact same thing except my problem is the plastic clips in the relay are broken and it's breaking Contact with the pins...

Apparently a newer Mazda 2 has the exact same relay in it for TRS too... might be worth a trip to the junk yard if Mazda wants alot for them brand new... last time I checked they go for around $50 new here in the great white north.

i've been having weird issues with my dash and rear running lights.

When i replace the 15 amp fuse for the dash light it fixes the problem temporary.

Try swapping fuses even if the fuse doesn't look blown.

I just cleaned the connections on the TNS relay to see if it fixes the intermittent issue.
