Tachometer Solder Joints/Tach Question

Does anyone have pics of what has to be resoldered? I had my tach out once and didnt see anything wrong with the joints on the green paper ciruit board on the back of the cluster. Are the joints im looking for somewhere else?

Also what wire in the gauge cluster harness is for the tach?

it only has to be resoldered if the joint broke free. i did it before as i found a little cold solder which broke free. pretty easy to tell you the truth.

I resoldered mine... to no end.

Yes you have to take the needle off, and then take the face off. You should eventually be down to just a white piece of plastic holding the circuit board. The board has a bunch of little round circular solder joints arranged in a circle. Those are the things that supposedly come loose. I tried this, and it did nothing for me.

Best bet is to just replace the tach IMO.
