Tach and speedo issues

OK so a in my latest bout of tinkering with stuff, my tach and speedo have stopped working. I've search and checked a few things. I know the tach works through the PFC but the speedo I am not sure about because the car has no seats in it (re-upholstry) and I can't drive it. The temp gauge seems ok but the oil pressure gauges pegs high (not that uncommon for sensor failures).

Here's the deal, when I bought the car 9 years or so ago it was an automatic that I converted. No worries easy swap everything was fine. Well since then I have bought another car as a parts car that was a true manual car. I decided since I had it apart to swap the clusters. Two boned headed mistakes here, one the parts car never ran so I am not sure if it actually works and two the old cluster had a "mishap" and is in a million pieces.

Most of what I have read indicates the cluster could use a rebuild, which is fine however I would like to throw another cluster in to test it first or find a solid testing procedure for it. If anyone would like to offer some help or advice I'd love to hear it.
