Question Tach problem~?~?~?~?~?

the 93 r-1 i am about to buy is in perfect condition except for one thing. during hard acceleration the needle on the tach slighlty jumpes up and down.
have any of u guys experienced this problem?
i was told by the seller that its just the tach that jumps around and the engine has no problems. could the needle on the tach just need to be screwed down more?

That's the account of my long *** ordeal. Conclusion? I guess a new gauge cluster is the last thing to try, but at $400+ I'm living with it for now at least. I would plan on doing the same, no attempts to fix mine were successful.

Depends what you mean by "a lot". You can probably find a used cluster from someone for between $150-$300 depending on the mileage on it. People will generally want more for a cluster with fewer miles simply because they're not as available. It sometimes takes a while to find someone with a cluster that has similar mileage to your car.
