T2 Coils for FD. Not plug and play? WTF?

Ok so I went to buy a set of T2 coils off a friend for $20...

Well apparantly the U.S. coils have 2 wires.. so I'd have to splice the harness in order to attach the leading set.

BUT

The Cosmo RE coils are direct plug and play with the FD harness. WTF?

I want to throw in a set of T2 leading coils, but i don't want to cut the harness. I can buy the set of Jspec coils from him for $75 which still beats the Malloy price for a leading set and I wouldn't have to cut the harness.

Do they make a t2 coil in the U.S. that is a direct fitment on the FD harness?

All FC coils, jspec, us spec, NA, turbo, series 4 or series 5, or otherwise, are the same. OF course they are not plug and play...they were mounted in completely different places.

The harness you have to cut into is the coil sub harness, hardly an expensive/difficult to find part. Just cut the 2 wires and splice into the new coil, and dont worry about it. IF it's a big deal to you, keep your harness unmolested and buy a spare coil harness from someone, perhaps one even already cut, to modify for the new coil.

What he said. I have been running a TII coil since 2001.
