synptoms of running lean?
If an FD is running slightly to modderately lean what problems might one feel? Also, should the air/fuel gauge drop completely to red after letting off throttle, and then spike to green after you give it more gas?
Thank You

problems one might feel??? pinging might make your heart stop...plugs will be white...EGT will be high...and power will be felt.
letting off the gas = no gas (well sorta) = extremely lean.
as far as spiking to grn...I don't get it.
these are all guesses...

Yes, the a/f gauge will read lean when you let off the gas and then should go back to full rich under WOT. In any case, a/f gauges that use the stock narrowband o2 sensor will be extremely inaccurate at full throttle anyway. IMO, the only function they really serve is to let you know if your o2 sensor is working (it should bounce back and forth from lean to rich at low rpm cruising conditions).

Hooray For Boobies!!!
Don't worry about the spike to red (lean) when you are under decel (using engine to slow you down), I think that is normal. Mine does it. Sounds like yours is normal. Only durnig wot should the s/f read rich. Maybe at idle too.
