CA switching from Microtech....

Hey guys, I recently purchased an FD with a single turbo setup, rewired for Microtech LT-10C.
I been reading about Microtech here in the forums and it seems that it's an outdated real simple unit, but with a lot of daily driver or street driving tuning issues.

My question is : Knowing that the car is prewired for this unit what other EFI unit can i go with that would be the simplest route as far as wiring or rewiring is concerned?

The simplest and cheapest would be to get a PFC, and buy a new harness from rywire.

That being said, "simplest and cheapest" isn't always the same as "best".

I'd buy an OEM harness before a rywire. Apparently there have been some issues with them. If you do get a new harness, you can have a few options for pnp ecus, PFC being the most cost effective, and the Adaptronics, and Haltechs being at the top.

There's really nothing that will easily work with the wiring that's in place for the Microtech. So, if you're going to make a big switch, Haltech Elite and new custom harness from LMS-EFI would be easy and provide the latest in EMS tech. Huge leap forward from what you have currently.

Wouldn't I be able to let's say if I go with PFC just re-pin current wires from microtech plugs to stock FD plugs and have PFC work out of the current wire harness? I still wouldn't need all the emission sensors as they been deleted, and it looks like they took there time to wire tuck and did a really clean install with new plugs.
I could remove harness and source out another harness, that way I can sale current setup with harness included... what could I possible get for my current setup? I don't think I could get enough to purchase either one of the harness you guys are mentioning so I think I would be better off trying to reuse my current harness wouldn't I ?

Power FC is one of the best options for a street car in my opinion. But if you want something with more features like direct fire, flex fuel capability, and failsafes an AEM Infinity or Haltech PS1000 or Elite 1500 would be a better choice. Make sure you go with what your tuner is comfortable with. Mazda OEM or LMS-EFI harness only.

In the hands of the right tuner, the Microtech can run your car perfectly. This can be said for most EMS systems. Regardless of what you switch it out with, it will still need to be tuned, select an EMS that you do not have support for and your situation will not be better. There is not another EMS that uses the same harness as the Microtech.

Step 1, talk to whoever is going to be doing the tuning and ask them what they prefer.
